R.E.M., Death Cab for Cutie, TV on the Radio & more contribute to LA fire relief album

Artists including R.E.M., Death Cab for Cutie and TV on the Radio have contributed recordings to an upcoming benefit album supporting Los Angeles fire relief efforts.

The compilation, dubbed Good Music to Lift Up Los Angeles, will be available on Bandcamp for only 24 hours starting on Friday at noon PT.

Other participating artists include The Postal Service, Modest Mouse, Tenacious D, Cold War Kids, Interpol, K.FlayLocal Natives, Manchester OrchestraMilitarie Gun, My Morning Jacket, Silversun Pickups and Soul Asylum.

Proceeds will benefit the California Community Foundation's Wildfire Recovery Fund and the LA Food Bank.
