Jacksonville, FL — Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office detectives were searching for two or three people who left a gas station on Edgewood Ave near I-95 following the shooting death of a man Tuesday afternoon.
JSO responded around 5:30 pm to the BP station and convenience store and found a man, approximately 20-25 years-old, with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital and later died.
A woman in her mid-20′s arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to her leg, she has non-life threatening injuries. Police believe she was in the store during the incident but her involvement is unclear.
Detectives say there was some sort of argument inside the store between several people. The fight escalated to a shooting, and detectives were hoping store surveillance video will provide more information about what happened. There was no evidence of a robbery.
