JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police are investigating after a man was shot to death outside the Pinewood Pointe Apartments, where he lived.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said its officers were called out to the complex off Kernan Boulevard South around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

The man, who had been shot multiple times, was taken to a local hospital by medical personnel where he died.
Police believe the man was walking through the complex when he was approached by at least two people who began shooting him.
JSO does not have the suspects’ description at this time.
An apartment with people inside was also struck by the gunfire, but no one was hurt.
