A lot of great shows and movies started as commercials, Skits, promos or bits. Ted Lasso was just a promo for NBC Soccer. Wayne’s World was an SNL skit. The show “Chad Powers” is based on a skit that put Hollywood grade prostatic make-up on Eli Manning and he tried out for Penn State. This fun little video spawned a show starring the guy that Hollywood is trying hard to make happen: Glenn Powell. I initially watched because I figured it would be a funny short watch but, it turned out to be so much more. It has good football with real SEC teams. A protagonist that won’t stop being an awful person and a hilarious mascot side-kick. There is even a decent underlying love story. Definitely worth a watch.
