A recent survey found that 26% of people in relationships say they and their partner are total “polar opposites.” Yet, 73% of people believe opposites attract 💘.

Opposite traits can actually work if both partners enjoy their own space and rely on each other to complement their strengths. It also exposes both to new experiences they might not try alone.
But most people don’t want a partner with zero shared interests. Survey respondents said the ideal is sharing about 54% of similarities ✅.

Interestingly, the longer couples are together, the more they tend to meet in the middle. Over half of surveyed couples now report sharing more similarities than differences compared to when they first met 💑.
So yes, opposites may attract, but having a little in common is key to making love last! ❤️
