Normally, when I turn on Stone Temple Pilots I expect hard crunching guitars, deep monotone growls, and a general melodic grungy-inspired rock track.

The band is a bluegrass act out of Portugal named The Tião e os Bravos. The band normally mixes American country & bluegrass with music styles from their part of the globe.
