I’m guilty! I have watched several horror movies where I have yelled at the screen trying to give instructions to the victim(s) on how to survive the night from (insert your horror movie icon on this line) _______ only for them to meet their fate leaving me frustrated!
Then it dawned on me as I thought to myself.... Could I survive a night of horror if I was in a slasher film? Of course, I can and I have no problem explaining my master plan of escaping.
However, before I get into that a survey of 2,000 adults 34% have said they too have what it takes to survive a horror movie, defeat the villain and have bragging rights the next day.
What makes them so confident that they can survive the night? Well, three quarters of adults say their quick thinking and survival instincts will give them the best odds, while a good 42% said they are the ones who would check for noises and get eliminated first (face palm).
Also, 14% would use “logic and reason” as a method while 13% are running for their lives (good luck with that).
Well, there you have it! Do you think with those reasons you can survive a horror movie or will you meet your fate?
As for me, I would definitely survive a horror movie because you will not catch me nowhere near Haddonfield, Illinois, a Campsite, and I will have a pot of coffee or energy drinks to stay awake and ensure I will have bragging rights when the sun comes up.
