Florence Welch Talks About “Stalking” One Of Her Idols

Florence Welch of ‘Florence + The Machine’ recently had an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. The Q&A involved a lot of topics from drinking to Patti Smith. She spoke on her sobriety and how she stopped because she was “going to die”. Welch didn’t shy away from the sensitivity topics of her eating disorder either talking about her song “Hunger” and how her family reacted to the lyrics.

My favorite part of the interview is how Florence explains the way she met one of her biggest musical influences, Patti Smith. It’s nice to know one of my personal favorite artists still gets starstruck.

I would suggest listening to her NPR Tiny Desk performance while you check it out 👀
