COLFAX, La. — Zydeco musician Chris Ardoin was shot Friday while he was performing at a concert.
His wife said Ardoin was shot on his right side while on stage, according to KLFY.
“Doctors said thankfully he’s a built guy,” she wrote on social media. “The bullet didn’t penetrate his lung and stopped near his ribs. We are currently in the hospital. Please keep him in your prayers and will update you all later.”
Authorities have not confirmed the shooting, KLFY reported.
Ardoin was performing at the Zydeco Bike Fest, according to a flyer he posted on social media hours before performing.
