Travis Barker was definitely feeling "Insane in the Brain" after smoking with Cypress Hill.
Speaking with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, the blink-182 drummer recalls when he and bandmate Tom DeLonge got high with the rap group during a tour with them in the mid-2000s.
As Barker tells it, the Cypress Hill members asked him to smoke with them between their set and blink's. While Barker would smoke after performances, he didn't like to get high before taking the stage. But since it was the last night of the tour and Cypress was leaving after their performance, they insisted that Barker join them in between sets.
"Dude, let me tell you, it was the longest f****** show, songs felt like they lasted forever," Barker tells Lowe. "It was like my body was working, but everything up here was silent."
DeLonge, who also joined in the Cypress Hill smoke session, was feeling the effects, as well.
"Tom came to me halfway through the show and he was like, 'I wanna go home,'" Barker says. "I was like, 'Me, too.' It was so awful."
Barker's new documentary, Louder than Fear, will premiere on Hulu and Disney+ on Thursday.
Disney is the parent company of Hulu and ABC News.
