Little Image

Lone Star State trio Little Image traffic in deliberate, alternative pop songs rooted in post-punk, hook-filled dance rock, and lush indie electronic. Based out of Dallas, Jackson Simmons (vocals), Troy Bruner (drums), and Brandon Walters (bass/keys) bonded in high school over a shared love of underground indie rock. Shortly after graduating, they adopted the Little Image moniker and independently issued their debut album, Musings, in 2017. They unveiled the punchy single "Worth It" in 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic hit its stride. While other artists struggled to stay afloat during the ensuing lockdown, Little Image experienced an explosion of creativity. Moving away from the traditional guitar/bass/drums template, the band tightened their sound and added more electronics. This resulted in the lush, indie dance aesthetic that dominated the 2022 singles "Out of My Mind" and "Lungs Burn," both of which appeared on the trio's sophomore long-player, Self-Titled, which was released on Hollywood Records in 2023. ~ James Christopher Monger
